Child care for infants and toddlers is provided for all worship services and Sunday School. No reservations are needed for child care during Sunday School and the morning worship service.

Infants and toddlers are cared for by competent child care workers who genuinely love children and focus on helping them and their parents to feel secure while the children are in the church’s care.

We are always delighted to welcome children into our worship. Children are welcome to stay with their families throughout the whole of the worship service.

At First Presbyterian children are valued as vital members of our community of faith. A special part of our worship service for children of preschool and elementary ages is called “A Time for Young Disciples.” Children are invited to join the pastor or another adult near the pulpit, and after they offer their donations for the “peace pipe,” they participate in the children’s message. Afterward, children are welcome to remain with family or may be taken to the nursery. Children’s worship kits are available in back of the worship space.

First Presbyterian Church welcomes all people.  Accessible parking spaces and ramps are located near church entrances.

On the first Sunday of each month and at certain other times of the year, First Presbyterian celebrates the Lord’s Supper. At our church we practice “open communion,” which simply means that all who wish to participate with us in celebrating the Lord’s Supper by receiving communion are welcome.
